October is Dwarfism Awareness Month!

For those of you who might not know, I am a dwarf. Another way to say it is "little person". Usually any other term is offensive to most little people. My dwarfism is called Spondyloepiphyseal Dysplasia Congenital (SEDC for short) There are over 200 different types of dwarfisms, and I am only one of those types. All of us differ in height, weight, bone structure, medical history, personality, race, gender and much more. We all have our own stories of where we were born, raised, went to school, work etc. We are HUMAN, just like everyone else. We can do anything that an average height person can do (Average Height, usually the term that we use for those of you who are not Little People). We can cook, build, write, read, create, walk up the stairs, get a cup from the cabinet… anything; it might just take us alittle longer. And there is ALWAYS stool nearby. Spreading awareness is huge, because honestly... a lot of people do not know. And that is okay... but nows the time to learn.

Want to learn more.. ASK QUESTIONS. You'd be surprised at how many people would rather you ask a question then just stare.
